Blue is not a colour you often find in a flower not a true, deep blue. Which is part of what makes the Neel Mayuri Jhumka so quietly arresting.
Neel for the blue that has no easy translation the blue of a clear sky just before dusk, of deep water, of something rare. Mayuri for the peacock, that most Indian of birds, whose plumage carries exactly this kind of blue in its feathers. The name was chosen carefully, and the earring lives up to it.
Inside the clear resin dome of each jhumka sits a real preserved blue daisy small, precise, and genuinely blue in the way that makes you look again. The golden oxidised base is round and traditional, the kind of jhumka silhouette that has hung from Indian ears for generations. But the flower inside that is what makes this version different from anything you have seen before.
Light enough to wear through a long day, and distinctive enough that someone will always ask about them. They work beautifully with white, with jewel tones, with the kind of blues that echo what is already in the earring. Festive occasions, casual afternoons, or anything in between.
Each pair is made by hand at MystikFalls. The blue daisy inside was once real, growing somewhere and now it is here, preserved, and entirely yours.
